This policy explains what personal information Fynvo collects when you use our website and related services (the “Platform”), why we collect it, who we give it to, and what choices you have. Please read it alongside our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform or send us your information.
When you submit a quote request or otherwise contact us, we collect what you provide. For customers that typically means your name, email address, telephone number, ZIP code, and details of the job — service type, property size, how often you want it done, and your preferred timing. If you write to us, we keep the message.
For cleaning businesses applying to join, we typically collect a contact name, business name, email, telephone number, service area, licence and insurance details, and information about the services offered.
When you visit the Platform, we and our providers collect technical information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. That includes your IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and browser characteristics, operating system, language, the page or advertisement that referred you, the pages you view, what you click, and the dates and times of your visits.
We may receive information about you from advertising and marketing partners, analytics providers, lead sources, and publicly available records. Where we obtain information this way, we require the provider to confirm it was collected lawfully and may lawfully be given to us. We may combine that information with what we already hold.
This is the main disclosure. We give your name, contact details, and job details to independent cleaning businesses so they can quote you, and we may give the same request to several of them. Once we have made that introduction, each of those businesses controls the information it holds about you and is responsible for its own privacy practices. We cannot delete information from their systems or stop their communications on your behalf. To stop hearing from one of them, tell that business directly.
We use other companies to run the Platform — hosting, form and lead processing, email and SMS delivery, customer support tooling, analytics, advertising measurement, fraud prevention, and data storage. They may handle your information only to perform work for us.
We work with advertising networks and platforms that use cookies and similar technologies to show you Fynvo advertising elsewhere on the internet, and to measure whether it worked. Under some state privacy laws, this kind of disclosure counts as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, and possibly as a “sale”, even where no money changes hands. See section 8.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, in response to lawful requests from authorities, to investigate fraud or misuse, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fynvo, our users, or the public. If Fynvo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.
We may create data that no longer identifies you and use or disclose it without restriction. We will not attempt to re-identify it except where the law permits.
Most browsers accept cookies by default and let you refuse or delete them in settings. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the Platform working properly. You will need to set your preference separately in each browser and on each device.
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where your browser sends one, and treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. For industry-level advertising opt-outs, see the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org. Opting out does not stop you seeing advertising; it stops advertising being targeted using information about you.
By giving us your telephone number in a quote request, you consent to calls and text messages about that request from Fynvo and from the cleaning businesses we introduce, including by automated dialling systems and prerecorded voice. The detail of that consent is set out in our Terms of Service.
Please allow up to ten business days for a marketing preference change to take full effect.
Fynvo's business model involves passing your request to cleaning businesses, and those businesses pay us for the ability to quote. Depending on the state you live in and how its law defines the terms, that arrangement and our advertising disclosures may be treated as a “sale” or as “sharing” of personal information. We tell you this plainly rather than rely on a narrow reading of the definitions.
You can direct us to stop selling or sharing your personal information by emailing us with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”, or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser. Opting out does not withdraw a request you have already submitted, because we have already passed those details to the businesses quoting you.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and a growing number of other states have rights of this kind under their state laws.
Email us and describe what you want. So that we can find your records and confirm the request really comes from you, please use the email address or telephone number you gave us and include your ZIP code. An authorised agent may act for you with proof of authority, and a parent or guardian may act for a child.
We will acknowledge your request within ten business days and aim to answer it within forty-five days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and may extend by up to a further forty-five days. We will explain any part of a request we cannot comply with. There is no charge unless a request is excessive or repetitive, in which case we will tell you before doing the work. If we refuse a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision.
In the last twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended: identifiers such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and IP address; commercial information about the services you requested; internet and network activity, including browsing and interaction with our pages and advertising; approximate geolocation derived from IP address or ZIP code; and inferences drawn from the above to build a profile of preferences and characteristics.
We collect these from you directly, automatically through cookies and pixels, and from advertising, analytics, and lead partners. We disclose them for the business and commercial purposes in sections 4 and 5, to the categories of recipients listed in section 5. We do not collect personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you in the sensitive categories the CCPA defines.
Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83 to 1798.84, California residents may request a notice of the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing, together with those parties' names and addresses. Email us with “California Privacy Rights” in the subject line, and include your name and address.
Under California Civil Code section 1789.3, California residents may report complaints to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here — which for a quote request includes keeping a record of the consent you gave and the introduction we made — and afterwards for as long as we need it to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed we delete it or de-identify it.
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, however, and no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed. You send information to us at your own risk, and we cannot be responsible for a breach caused by events outside our reasonable control.
The Platform is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us.
The Platform links to sites we do not operate, including those of cleaning businesses. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which may differ considerably from ours. Anything you submit on another site is governed by that site's policy, not this one.
We may update this policy by posting a revised version at this address with a new date at the top. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice, such as by email or a notice on the Platform. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
To ask about this policy, exercise a privacy right, or opt out of sale or sharing, contact Fynvo at the email address and postal address published on our contact page.
